Ding dong merrily on high…
Ding dong merrily on high!
No no I’m not thinking Christmas…
I’m thinking weddings.
With two royal weddings in the offing
And countless engagement announcements in the papers -
This is obviously the year for smartening up!
Cheltenham
Cheltenham is galloping at speed over the horizon and there is the usual debate as to what the temperature might be.
Should you think that you might be a bit chilly we are having a great sale of lovely tweed suits and coats and cashmere jerseys that go underneath to keep you cosy while you enjoy the nags and the gossip and hopefully make some loot.
Velvet Overground
Just dreaming of a gleaming velvet Christmas!!
Just dreaming up some lovely things to wear in luscious velvet.
Snuggle up in luscious velvet coat with thickly ruched collar and cuffs for winter glamour.
Thinking of Black velvet. Actually Black silk velvet palazzo pants with a creamy froth of champagne and gold lace atop.
Winter Brides
Glamour and warmth for winter brides, thick cream or silky ivory velvet in full length cloaks or capes or beautiful fitted coats. Or little faux fur shrugs to snuggle in to.
Wedding Guests
Twinkle twinkle little star, midnight blue velvet jacket over gold spattered starry chiffon.
Champagne velvet “Downton style” very elegant coat and chocolate duchesse satin for sumptuous winter luxury.
Red bias velvet column for rich exotic Russian winter drama at a Christmas party.
Purple velvet and brocade coat for Cossack glamour, wear with wonderful long haired fur hat for an unforgettable look to a wedding.
And lots more!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cashmere for Christmas
Snuggle into lovely little warm glamorous cashmere tops specially designed
to show off dramatic jewellery.
Wear these with our wonderful small waisted half circular skirts in exotic fabrics for a truly vintage look at Christmas parties.
No more shivering as you get dressed and set off for winter parties!!!!!!!!!!
Spring has sprung
Spring has sprung. Time to take stock. Literally.
I have made loads of lovely tweed things but as they say in business school, no point in making stuff if you can’t get it to market.
Every year I know that Cheltenham Races are the ideal market for my lovely tweed clothes.
Every year after Christmas this opportunity passes untapped but not this year. I am determined.
I talk to my great racing friend, Blossom, and she suggests that I put an ad in The Field Magazine. Great idea. But what?
Light bulb moment. A drawing to catch attention amongst all those photographs. Better still a cartoon to make people laugh.
People in the racing world like a bit of fun.
My friend Magali’s partner is the artist Derek Piliotis who produced two great horsey cartoons, one for Cheltenham and the other for Ascot (you will have to wait for that one).
Bingo, Bang on, Brilliant.
It is in this month’s Field Magazine.
Now for our Easter Bonnets, on chicks, Chic non! See next month’s Field.
